Downloading the Skybell App
Get started by downloading and launching the Skybell app. Simply go to the store and search for the “Skybell app”. Once it appears, click the download button and patiently wait for it to finish downloading. Once done, just tap the app icon to open it.
Add Skybell to the Device
Easily delete the device by going to the application and accessing device settings.
Add SkyBell to the device list.
Make sure the device is still blinking red and green. If it’s not blinking, hold the green button until a green light appears, then release it. After that, both the red and green lights should blink.

- Open your Phone Settings and tap on Wifi.
- Connect to the network named “SkyBellxxxxxxxx”.
- Return to the Alarm.com App.
- The SkyBell will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.
- Once you see your network, simply tap on it to connect.
- If prompted, enter your Wi-Fi key to complete the connection process.
Disable Airplane mode
Once connected, simply return to the app to resume. From there, navigate to settings and disable airplane mode. Now, go ahead and give a thumbs up before closing the app.
After a while, the light will switch to a steady green. This signals that you can now enter live stream mode. Simply exit the mode to return your device to its regular functions.
Reset Your Skybell
Resetting your SkyBell HD device is a quick and easy solution for any issues you may encounter. With two reset options available, you can start fresh and get back on track with your SkyBell video doorbell.
Soft Reset:
- Press and hold the SkyBell button for 45 seconds.
- Watch for the LED sequence: it will flash green, then alternate between red and green, and finally rapidly flash blue.
- Once the SkyBell starts flashing blue, release the button. This will initiate the reboot process.
- The reboot process usually takes about one minute.
- Your SkyBell will automatically reconnect to your home Wi-Fi network and return to normal operating mode, indicated by a solid green (or chosen) color.
Hard Reset:
- To begin, press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. As you do this, you will notice a change in the LED lights from blinking blue to blinking yellow, confirming the reset.
- Please note that this process will erase any changes you have made to the device, allowing the new owner to start fresh.
- Once the reset is complete, your device will power back on, as indicated by the blinking red and green lights. Get ready to experience your Skybell as if it were brand new.

- Yellow: Performing a factory reset? Look for a yellow LED flash. This means your SkyBell will erase all settings and info, returning to its original state. Hold down the button until it flashes yellow (around 10 seconds after a blue flash).
- Red-blue lights: signify that the device is charging and will be fully charged in just 30 minutes.
- Green: The device is good to go with a default LED color of green.
- Orange: Decode the orange light. It’s a signal. Flashing? That means the bell is searching for or has lost its wireless connection. It will also blink if the device can’t connect to the router. Keep an eye on the orange light during syncing and connecting with your home Wi-Fi network.
- Rapidly flashing green: means the device is ready to sync.
- White: Call mode is indicated by the color white. This means that a call has been initiated either by movement, button push, or demand viewing.
